What rights exist over grandfathers property?

In 1970 Original papers of the above was handed over to my cousin brother and he was asked to look after the agricultural land holdings. After my cousin brother died his son is looking after the land. The land stands in the name of my father and 4 brothers and all have died. My name is not included among the owners after my father died in 1987. I have the death certificate of my father. I am not aware if the other legal heirs have included their names but they told me that I have 20% share in the property according to percentage of my fathers share. I have no involvement with the land since 1972.Do I have a right in the property. What step I should take to ensure I am not deprived of the property. I do not have any records of the lands.

Without​ records how you can proceed? So many legal procedures are to be complied with to establish your right to your grandfather father's property. Hi, Get a copy of the WILL of that property. Get mutate your name with your share in that property (If any share mentioned in your name). If nothing mentioned in the WILL Or otherwise you & your any brother or sisters have to claim for probate into that property.
