What is the right of daughter in ancestral property

I am married my grand mother has left a property which was given by government to pok refuges .She died between 1992 without any written will to his son but now his grand son has signed from his father without telling him and the whole property is on his side .is there any right of grand daughter on his grand mother property which was given by government .which was a plot of 7.5marlas in jammu city .I want to know weather his grand son has right on his grand mothers property or not.

If the said grandmother or Father has died before 20th December 2004 then the said daughter can not claim her rights on the said property. Otherwise she can file a suit for partition in the jurisdictional Civil court.

Suppose value of ancestor propert is 1 lakh and ur father is alone survivor and his share is 1 lakh.and ur father has 2 children one male and another female .both will get 500000 rupees.u can file a case of suit for partition of

Hello mam
Yes grandson and grand daughter has equal right on property of grandfater . But please tell us how can son get sign from his father without his knowledge....What are that documents whether nay sale deed or will or gift deed and whether they are registeed in court or not so that we can challange that document in court also.
