Dear Client,
At first I must let you know that property registration cannot be done though on line. only the query valuation of the property can be done through online and for rest of proceedings you need to come to the Registration Office.

Second thing is that the property in question is joint property or owned by your husband ?

And Lastly without going through the relevant papers, it is impossible for me to comment. So i will suggest you to spare sometime and come to my office with all relevant papers. So that i can advice you properly.

Write a deed of gift. Go to the office of the registration which have power to register the deed of gift of the locality. Ask the registrar to make valuation of the property or try to obtain the same online. After making payment of the requisite stam duty ad well as registration fees submit the deed for registration before the concerned registrar.

As such till now online registration is not active in West Bengal if you understand it in the sense of sitting at home and registering the same. You have to go the registration office and do it. Husband can gift the property to you easily. The tax quotient comes to about 1.6 percent of circle value. For further details you may contact.
