What is the procedure for transferring ancestral property

We have a ancestral property (piece of land) in Karad, which is in the name of my late Grandmother. What is the procedure and document that required for transferring it on our name.
Your grandmother's property will be distributed as per Indian succession Act if your grandmother had not executed any will. how the share of property would be distributed and what are the procedures,contact me!

You will have to apply for the legal heir certificate to the Tehsildar of your Taluka along with death certificate of the person and an affidavit.In the affidavit you will have to show the legal heirs of the deceased.
