What are the rights of daughters in fathers property
08-Jun-2023 (In Property Law)
my father expired on 4 april 2015. I want to know is it possible for my sister to get the father property ( I have two sister , both of them married . again one got divorce. they have taken lots of money at the time of married )
Yes. they are entitled to inherit your/their father's property. However, you have to ascertain whether your father had left a prior Will in favour all of you? It is not clear from your query as to whether the property of your father was ancestral or self-acquired property. In case of self acquired property, now upon his death and presuming an absence of a WIll, the property shall stand devolved upon your sisters as well in accordance with the applicable proportion. However, if the same property is ancestral in nature, the remedy would be different in that case.
Yes your sister have the right of father's property.no matter she is married or divorce and also i say one thing you mention here they have taken lots of money at the time of married, this is your responsibility how your sister Marriage .it is not a specific reason .so in father's property all have the equal right .
