Based on the information you have provided, my advice is as follows: Since your family—your grandfather and father—have been in long-standing possession of the agricultural land, and there has been peaceful, continuous, and undisputed use of the land, you may be eligible to claim legal rights over it, especially if there is no challenge from others. To protect your family's possession and establish your claim formally, you should collect all related documents such as old pattadar passbooks, cultivation records, revenue receipts, and witness statements. If the land is still not officially recorded in your or your family's name, you can approach the Tahsildar with an application for regularisation or mutation of names in the revenue records. Along with the application, submit your service details, residence proof, and a declaration about your possession. If needed, a formal affidavit may be prepared to support your claim. Taking early action will help avoid future disputes and ensure your rights are protected under law.
