22-Apr-2023 (In Property Law)
My father had purchased the house in 1996 on General power of attorney and the GPA is on my mother name and now I want to convert this GPA into registry. So please tell me what is the procedure . How I can convert this GPA into registry . In that case will I need to pay the registry fee or not ? Please provide me all the details.
Hello,
For the query you posted, I would suggest the following:
First you need to substantiate in whose name such property is, after that only can you be able to get such a GPA in whosoever's name.
And yes stamp duty and registration fee is necessary.

First of all let me know is your mother the 1st owner and ti make a registry the property should be freehold and there is a fee accoring to the circle rate that you have to pay then you can make the registry in your mothers name.
