18-Jan-2025 (In Property Law)
We have xerox copy of unregistered GPA which was executed in 1982 and we are still in possession from then . The original copy was taken by the seller after few days saying there is a dispute and he has to show the original in court to showcase that he has exercised ownership of property . Now the seller after disputes resolved is asking to buy again for current govt rate or else vacate . Could you please help me what can I do . I have xerox copy for one property and no xerox copy for other site

What you mean by being in possession ? Have you built a house on that site and residing there ? And whether the site was registered to you or not ? Have you ascertained that there was any case , and if so de you know its details ?
