Transfer of Ownership from late Father to his Daughter

21-Sep-2023 (In Property Law)
Hello, I am having issues regarding the ownership transfer of my late maternal grandfather to his daughter. According to the will made by my grandfather, the 2floor house has been given to his daughter and his daughter in law, granddaughter. The ground floor is given to his daughter and the 1st floor is given to his daughter in law and his granddaughter. The house is of 2 floors. The 2nd floor and 3rd floor ( if ever constructed) is given to his daughter in law, granddaughter and his daughter( 3rd floor given) respectively. Since, the house is in the name of my grandfather so registration has to be done for the ownership change. Can you please tell me what are legal formalities I need to follow for the name change and can one of the parties do the registration separately ? If I want to sell the floors allotted to his daughter, then what do I need to do? Please help me with some advices.

As per your query in law rato first of all you have mentioned about a will but you did not mention anything about probate .So first thing is if you did not receive probate then file a probate first and then ask for transfer of ownership.

To give opinion , it is necessary to scrutinize the Will for its scope, meaning and effect as well as its legal perspective. It is necessary to know whether the Will has been probated or not. If you wish to take my Legal opinion professionally through online payment, then can contact.
