Tenant is claiming the possession. How to evict them ?

04-Jan-2023 (In Property Law)
hello sir, i have a property of 10 houses side by side in one area and the property/houses is in the name of my grandfather(died) 20 years before. Out of 10 houses 6 are occupied by some tenants long before without any agreement. The tenants are now saying that they own the property/houses and from 15-20 years they are also not paying the rent saying that the owner is dead so their is no owner. They also purchased electric meter on their names. Is their any solution and how to evict them from that place. Thank you

You can take all steps to claim.nit only the unpaid rents but also the possession by evicting them.

You will have to send legal notice of demand of the unpaid rent through an Advocate.

Once they do not pay the rent then you will have to file the suit for eviction and taking back the possession.

Sir,
You are in good position to evicting the tenants you can file a suit for eviction under grounds that the tenants are refusing your title, under grounds of default for rent and for bona fide use... the suit can be filed in small cause court or under competent authority...

You need to give legal notice to the tenant for eviction of the tented house and hand over peacefully to the legal owner. As legal heir of your grand father you have full right to take the property back.
