Stop Father from selling a property

Our family consists of 4 members, Am the elder daughter of our family,and am a NRI I have a younger brother who works in Chennai, we both are working for past 5 years. We have a property (a house) in the name of our father, but basically we have given all our incomes while building the house. But now due to a difference of opinion our father is trying to sell the house, but we don't wish to sell the house. Even that is the only property we possess, he has already sold many of our properties in the past. He has even forced our mom to sell a house in which was in her name few years back and sold that as well. This time we needed to stop this from occurring, is there any possible steps that we can take to stop him from selling our house?
In this case, If it is an ancestral property you can stop your father from selling the property and if it is his self acquired property you can not stop and claim any share and also you said you and your brother contributed to developing the property if you people having any kind of proof you can claim. you cannot compel your father not to sell his own property father's property is self purchased property then he gas entire right to sell the property for his own self or for any other reason that son of the wife cannot complete the father property
