Son's rights over ancestral property acquired by father

 My dad is the grandchild of my great grandfather. He has inherited propert from my great grand father. My Question is .....is my the dad the sole owner of the property that he has got from his grand father and can he write a will to anyone he wishes or do we have rights on it? thanks, sri

Hello,

The property that your dad has inherited from your great grand father will not be considered as self acquired peoperty..

It will be considered as ancestral property and be subject to inheritance laws.

Therefore, your father cannot write a will to whoever he wishes. You will have a right over the property.
