Someone put false case against my property what can i do

My neighbor put case on my property, by saying that, that is his property. actually it is attached with his property, but it has proper boundary. we had a building on that property, once we cleared the land for reconstruction, he filed case for ownership, and he took police to stop our construction. its been one year the case is going on. i want to know how to defend his case and restart the construction. ?
No concrete suggestion is possible unless your neighbor's pleadings are seen and documents perused. What are the facts and the alleged cause. All that could be suggested is that, in a civil case, police have no locus standi to interfere.
