Society charges for flat transfer in blood relation

16-Nov-2023 (In Property Law)
In 2006 I have purchased flat from my own brother, where we all were staying by paying stamp duty and registration to Maharashtra Govt...After that Society demanded Rs. 25000/- as transfer fee...I have paid the same to Soc..After that Maharashtra Gov.rule said that by paying only 500/- one can transfer flat in blood relations...So have demanded refund of transfer fee of Rs.25000/- paid to the soc..and it is refunded to me also..Now new body of the soc. ask for the same money to return to Soc. Is it correct?

This is my response to you:
1. If the society is demanding the same, ask them under which bye law?
2. If they fail to provide any circular or bye law then you will know that it was unlawful demand;
3. Consult a local lawyer and take steps.
