Sharing of two storey house between two sisters

Two sisters,whom the father had left a two storey house and both have decided to take one floor each.Do they make an agreement and notarise this or can just make an agreement ans sign on a piece of paper ans keep it for future use,if any. (Bhubaneswar, Orissa)

it's better to get your agreement registered. as per Indian registration act, if a agreement involves immovable property then it's registration is mandatory. For more details you can contact me for more details.
