Seller asking for more money after 8 years

20-Oct-2024 (In Property Law)
So we brought a land from a seller in 2016. We had it registered at the circle rate of that time. The seller had a registered power of attorney from his father which was used for the sale. The son is dead now. His father recently sent a notice asking for more money on the basis that his son was naive and we coerced his son into selling the property at a lower rate. We had recently started construction of our house. Can he get a stay order against the construction?

If there is reasonable ground and if he is successful in showing that his apprehensions are correct then he might get a stay order. Chances of getting a stay also increases with the Advocate they appoint. However there are remedies that you can avail to avoid such a tricky situation. Reach out to me for more information
