Self acquired property sold by father to son

My father purchased a plot in 1990 and sold it to me in 2004 through sale deed in front of thesildar. The fard is also In my name. This is also mentioned in the will made by my father.ow my mother has filed a case for cancellation of registery / sale deed. Can the sale deed be cancelled by court. Under which act or law my father sold me his slef acquired plot. What is the time limitation for filling such case by my mother.

No, sale deed can not be cancelled by court if the property was the self acquired property of your father and he fulfills all the conditions for a valid sale deed as per the transfer of property act and there is no condition attach to the sale deed concerned. limitation for challenging the same is three years from the date of knowledge of sale deed done in your favour. Detail reply can be given only when more facts like is your father alive, on what ground your mother challenged the sale deed, recitals of sale deed etc. are known.
