Sc st property bought by us without knowing

Sc st property was bought by my mother in law 2003 without knowing as government land further this was sold to other person by area councellor.what to do now

based on your question, if the SC/St land belongs to government and prohibiting it's transfer without government authority permission then the transactions are likely void.
