Sathekhat in person and Sale Deed with PoA

Hello, I have purchased an agri plot from a farmer family, having 2 sisters and 2 brothers. All have signed Sathekhat at Registration office in person. Sisters had agreed to get only 50% of their share ( 10 lakh instead of 20lakh) and cheqs were given. Sisters have given PoA to brother for being aged for further Sale deed. Now we have moved on with Sale deed after 2 months to close deal. However one sister is now sending notice that she is not agree to this deal and want it Cancelled. Pls advis

If one of the sisters is backing out from the Sathekhat then you should ask refund of your money from her. Also, if you still intend to go ahead and purchase the property then you are then required to file a suit for that. Feel free to contact me for seeking any legal advice as regards the same.

Well, if the concerned Sister has signed on the Sale Agreement earlier or signed on any contract that she had no hesitation in transferring her rights in the Property to Brother or in giving POA to Brothers for transfer of their shares via Sale Deed and now they are breaking their own promise by not allowing to get the Sale Deed registered, then, this is a serious issue, such sister can be booked for Breach of Promise.
