In order to safe guard the interest of the senior citizens, the law has subjected “The Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act”, 2007 (often referred to as the Senior Citizens Act). However to understand this further, please get in touch for legal advice.

yes there is an act to this if senior citizen feels so . number of reasons are provided in maintenance and welfare of parents and senior citizens act, 2007. moreover it depends on whether property is ancestral in such a scenario they cannot disown. by will or by distributing self acquired property to other beneficiaries . they can do so. it is challengeable in court.
