Road 20 Feet Mentioned in Sale Deed but Land Owner Left 18 Feet.

02-May-2023 (In Property Law)
Dear Sir, I am living in a Private & Unauthorized Colony. When we bought Plot from Land Owner (1987), they had mentioned Road 20 Feet in the Sale Deed & Now Left only 18 Feet Road in next of my House. when we raise objection, tried to attack & lodge a compliant with Police. Police invited us & said to make Compromise other wise register U/S 107. At last we have signed at a plane paper compromise that we have agreed at 19 Feet Road & no one dispute at this matter with them. Please tell me my legal rights & possibilities.

If you have a Sale deed that mentions 20 feet road and despite that an 18 feet road is being provided that you can sue for breach of contract as contract is there in black and white. However you have unnecessarily complicated the issue by signing a compromise therefore you will now have to deal with that before you can take any action under the original contract. You will have to prove that the compromise was signed under coercion and get it set aside and proceed to enforce the earlier contract. You can also claim damages for breach of contract..
