Right for daughters in ancestral property with and without will
29-Oct-2023 (In Property Law)
Hi I would like to know my right on my father's property. I have an unmarried elder brother aged 33 and I am 28 and married. Our father passed away in October 2008 after my marriage in August 2008. I have married against my parents wishes so does my right change. Does ancestral property require a will? If there is a will what will be right n what be my right if there is no will? My mother does not want to help me out in minor financial issues even though they are well off.
You have got every right in your father's property you have to file a case for partition of your fathers property your rights does not go of you have married without the will and wish of your parents the property must be equally devided
Hi,
As you said that the property is of your father if has not left any will then all 3 of you are entitled for share. If he has left will and you have not been given any share you have to challenge the will. Call us through website for assistance
