Regulation to build a high rise apartment near storm water drain

Hi, I have following queries with respect to these storm water drains near high raised apartment, 1) what is the minimum distance needed from these storm water drain to building?? 2) what supporting doc I need to ask builder to make sure the building is not constructed on top of the water canal? 3) Builder says they have ~ 50 ft from the water stream to building. how do I make sure whatever dist builder says is true? I don't see any traces of these canal in physical location as it is completely dried. But the canal presence captured in village map. 4) BBMP approval is sufficient ?
,village map, city survey sketch,apply in right to information for all information from BBMP commissioner and collect all available document from the builder and take to legal adviser and confirm through him. Then you will get legal opinion either to buy or not.
