Regarding survey no error by BDA itself

10-Feb-2026 (In Property Law)
Hi We wanted to purchase a BDA property. The Survey numbers ( 3 ) given in the bda allotment are 71/1, 27/1 and 27/ 2 whereas in the sale deed made by bda for the first party is 17/1, 27/1 and 27/2. The possession certificate too contain 17 and also when checked in dishank app it seems 17 /1 in correct. However, when the property was sold by the first party, the buyer has got it registered as per the original allotment letter issued by bda viz 71. How can we buy with clear title now?

Hello sir/ Madam, Due diligence/ scrutiny of the property papers is very important while buying the property. Have you asked for clarification regarding the number to the seller. It might be a mistake. Kindly check all the other papers too.

Hi. Hope you are doing well. So, regarding the legal issue posted, the copy of the registered documents are needed for scruitiny and to give a legal opinion. Since the title documents woud be old, they usually contain a older Survey Number. Thank you. Have a good day.
