Regarding registering property under both Husband and wife's name
06-Aug-2023 (In Property Law)
My wife is single applicant for home loan, however I would be contributing towards the EMI equally. Can we register the property in both our names or only wife's name is allowed by bank ?
As per your query
It is advisable to be the co owner of the property along with your wife. You will also be paying the EMI equally. You are advised to be a co owner of the property and also the co applicant in the loan application.

This is my response to you:
1. Then you may need to enter the name of yourself in the agreement;
2. Let the emi's go from a joint account;
3. Discuss the details with your bank;
4. Consult a local lawyer and take steps.
