Regarding illegal construction

28-Sep-2024 (In Property Law)
Hi, I am thinking to buy a flat on 3rd floor. The building is approved for G+3 but the builder has made 4th floor also which is illegal. So it has become G+4 now. Now, I want to know what will happen in case authorities are going to take action? Will they just demolish the 4th floor or entire building? I don’t want to go ahead for paper verification until and unless this doubt is cleared. Thank you

Authorities cannot demolish the legally approved floors as outlined in the building's plans and license. However, before purchasing, it's crucial to verify the property's title to know there is not litigation or any issues with respect to the property.
