Redevelopment in Society at Jogeshwari ,Mumbai.

06-Feb-2023 (In Property Law)
I belong to a Hindu Marathi family , I have flat registered on my name at Jogeshwari, Mumbai. My elder brother stays in that flat. Now, the society has opted for redevelopment , but the committee members are supporting my brother. They are not updating & reporting me with any of the procedure in the redevelopment process. Can they proceed for redevelopment without my consent ? Can my brother create any problem ? If such thing happens, what can be the action against them ? or should I just wait and watch ? If the redevelopment process is at final stage, what can builder do to this problem ? How should I defend the builder ?

Hello, If the flat is registered under your name than you can take action against the society member if they proceed ahead without your consent. Ask the society to give it in writing why they are not making you a partof the redevelopment process. If they still deny you can file a case against them in the cooperative court.
