Question on who can claim ownership after death of Hindu joint owner.

A Hindu husband and wife jointly owns a self acquired property. They have a minor child. The husband dies.
The quiestion is : whether the mother of the deceased and his other relatives will have a claim on the said property or not?
mother, child and wife are the successors of the property survived by the deceased and all having equal shares in the property of the deceased was not left with any will. however, if the mother is not executing any deeds of conveyance in the name of anyone during her life, her share will be assigned to the other two persons
