My father in law had died 9 years ago and there is no registry of the house we live in. Still this house is on lease period. My husband has one elder brother and one elder sister too. From two years my mother in law is with her elder son but they have not given us equal share of house to live we just got one room .....is there any law to get our equal share ...?

Answer to your query is in affirmative i.e. You have rights in that property as The teanancy right will follow through inheritance to your husband . The inheritance rights are governed by various laws like Indian succession act, Hindu succession act, Muslim succession act so extents of inheritance right will depends upon ur religious affiliation. Moreover, the right which devolves through succession makes your husband tenants in common I.e. All tenants can use the property While none of the owners may claim a specific area of the property, tenants in common may have different ownership interests.
