Purchased father's property after his death can siblings claim share

R/Sir, my parents expired on march 2002. I have 2 brothers & 01 sister and all are married. we have one house & one plot in my father's name, it is his self acquired property. I want to purchase it. Please advise me, whether my sister is legally eligible for father's property or not. Kindly answer..

If your parents passed away before 2006, as per law, if they have not left any will you are the sole heir of the property. The Hindu succession law amendment which came into force in 2006 does not have retrospective effect as upheld by Supreme Court in Ganduri Kotheswaramma case.
