Purchased a property without knowing it was ancestral property

16-Sep-2024 (In Property Law)
My grandfather purchased a property in 2005 and now we were trying to see it and found out that it was an ancestral property and the sisters of the seller has filed a suit claiming their shares and they had won the case. What right do we not have as a purchaser. Do we need to settle the sisters share from our property? Can we sell of the property now?

Title of the property should be checked. If it is clear then definetly shares can be claimed. But the fact being said that the sister have won the case, legally rights exist with the sisters. However depending upon the facts and circumstances of the case, it can be contested.
