property ownership, no registry. not in good terms with uncle
26-Jun-2025 (In Property Law)
hello, i have a property which was transferred to me after my dad passed away, my dad had a clinic in this property for more than 25 years, my dad bought this property from his brother after paying him all the dues fully, which are mentioned in sale deed, my dad has his name in khasra in the main owner of the property. and after he passed away it was transferred to me, he was in possesion of this property for all this time paying taxes and bills. the problem is my uncle never did registry.
Sir, the sale deed without registration cannot be said to be valid in the eyes of law. It cannot be relied upon by the courts for the purpose of transfer of the property. The appropriate remedy would be a suit in civil court. Would be able to assist you better after going through the documents.
