Hello,
My Mother in Law's (MIL) name is first on flat dastavej and my name is second on dastavej. If my MIL passes away, do I become the sole owner of the flat or not?

No you cannot become the sole owner of the property. For that you have to make pedhi nama of your MIL and submit it to the city survey office in which jurisdiction your property is situated. if you are only legal hair then you will become the sole owner of the property by paying stamp duty to the govt. as u are not straight line legai hair of MIL
