Property name issue-bulider is demanding cheque not as per 7/12 extrac

We are intending to purchase a plot. The name on 7/12 extract is "abc &associates engineers and developers", but builder demanding cheque/dd in favour of "abc & associates"
Can we give? Pls assist. Thank you in advance
On the official website of the ministry of corporate affairs please check who are the directors for both the companies if it’s same then you can issue the cheque in the name of the company on which your developer is asking as he must be having some banking or ITR issues

It will be great if you issue the Cheque on such name which is registered with the RERA Authority. As RERA Authority is a legal authority, it registers the name of the Builders with it. You will be safe if you follow my legal advice.
