09-Jul-2023 (In Property Law)
The property is in the name of my grandfather and he passed away without doing any will. nWill this property will transferable to his wife (my grandmother) directly. My grandfather has 3 sons and 1 daughter. But in every receipt of property and water tax my grandmother name is registered also in nagar nigam record. Please guide and tell me procedure to resolve this issue.

if the property is self acquired property of your grandfather then the property will transfer to your grandmother directly. but if the property is the ancestral property then it can be claimed .Means it can be claimed to be divided in between all the children and mother as well.
so the question for you to define is that whether the property is ancestral property or self acquired ones .
