Property claim by wife if husband goes missing over 7 years

So my father is missing for over 7 years now and even after our best efforts we couldn't locate him . He has 2 properties in his name and as he is missing can the transfer of properties be done to his successors my mother as I have read if a person goes missing for over 7 years we can claim the property.
yes, you can seek. you have to file a declaration suit in the court of law seeking declaration that your is missing ( legal term - presumed death) and your mother and her children are his legal hiers.
