I assume your father has purchased the property by way of a registered sale deed.

If yes, then your application before the Thasildar has to be considered on the basis of the sale deed, death certificate of your father and the family tree of your fathers family.

You could make a detailed representation setting out the facts for not changing the revenue records to your fathers name and provide the relevant documents and request the authority to consider the same.

I am hoping that you have proof of having purchased the land. You can go ahead and submit a certified copy of the sale deed by which your father purchased the property and also provide proof that you are the legal heir in order to change the name in the records.
