My mother a Hindu was survived by her husband, daughter and son (me). She had 2 properties in her name . We would like to give one property to her daughter ( my sister ) and one property to me ( her son) . My father does not want any share in the property. Please advice on what deed needs to be done.

Hi, you can have a partition deed and distribution of the property will be on mutual understanding and each one will be allocated to you and your sister and your father will be releasing all his rights over the properties owned by your mother

She can make release deed or gift deed or settlement deed whatever she wish. She can also make a will but property right comes to her children after her death. So better to relase the property to her children through release deed. If you need more advice please contact me.
