Procedure to buy an agricultural land in karnataka

Hi, I need to have clarification whether I can buy an agricultural property in Karnataka of 2 acres. The total income of me and my wife exceeds 25 lakhs per annum as per the IT returns filed in 2017.I do not have any agricultural background , nor do I have any pre-possessed agricultural lands. Please help in letting me know as to what I need to do to buy agricultural land and become a farmer ?
The Land reforms Law in Karnataka restricts non-agriculturists from buying agricultural lands. The problem is not just with the income ceiling, it is also that you should have an agricultural background prior to 1974, which cannot be overcome.
