Procedure for adding wife's name in sale deed

Hi, I want to include my wife name in sale deed. Can you please let me know the procedure for this? Appreciate your help! Thanks,

Read your query, in order to include the name of your wife you have to sale or gift the 50 per cent undivided to your wife. You have to pay the stamp duty for both the transactions as per today's rate of the property.

you cannot add your wife name in registered sale deed now

2) you can execute gift deed in favour of wife for 50 per cent share in property

3) have it duly stamped and registered

4) property will reflect name of both co owners

Deed of Assignment (Memorandum of Understanding)---->Agreement of Sale (Part Payment)---->Sale Deed (Conyence Deed or Full and Final)

You are Talking about Sale now the question is weather the sale deed is executed if yes then you cannot change the nomenclature of Sale Deed Better is to Gift 50% of your share and then property owner will be you and your wife 50-50 %

Better contact a good Lawyer he would draft gift deed and stamp duty is state subject and varies from state to state and registration of gift deed has to be done at sub regsitrar office within whose jurisdiction property is situated
