Legal Action for Forgery If you encounter forgery, you can file a criminal complaint under the sections of the BNS. The steps include: 1. Filing a First Information Report (FIR): Report the offense at the local police station, providing all relevant evidence. 2. Consulting a Legal Professional: Seek advice from a lawyer to navigate the legal process effectively. Forgery is a serious offense under Indian law, leading to significant legal consequences. It's crucial to act promptly and follow legal procedures to address such matters.
