Personal put his luggage at my house illegally

13-Oct-2023 (In Property Law)
I was approached by a broker who connected me with a tenant. That person put his luggage at my house, and citing an emergency disappeared. There is no rent agreement, he hasn't been paying the rent, doesn't even have the keys and has stopped picking up the calls. What's the best course of action for me? I don't want to file a case, as it would take a long time and my house might become disputed. Should I just keep his luggage outside and inform him via text message?

This is serious. You need to inform the Broker and issue one legal notice to the Broker for taking back the subject matter. The stuff can be illegal or a property of someone else or of theft. If you don't want, you need to inform local police Thana. If tomorrow, if it is found that the same was illegal, you may be held liable as well. Regards

you should deposit the luggage of the tenant in concerned police station after giving a legal notice through a competant lawye and the copy of this notice should be send to the broker also. if you need any further information and guidance then called me through the administrator of this website
