Owner refuse to register land purchased from him 30 years back

my grandfather buy cultivable land from his relatives about 30 years back, from that time he had cultivated the land. but land was not registered and no agreement was done, the owner dont do the registry inspite of several request.. is there any solution for it??

there might be a solution for this. generally, if there is any document to prove that the land was purchased and the payment was made then there is a huge chance to get the land registered. it is better to have a face to face interaction with documents in order to get the land registered.

Basically unless the registration of the property is done, it can not be said the property is sold to your grandfather. Since now the owner has been refusing to register the property, you can file a suit for specific performance of contract before the Learned Civil Court and allege that he has grabbed the sale proceeds as per the contract but now refuse to register, or you have a feeble chance in consumer forum for quick relief. Many of clients got relief in civil court for specific performance of contract matter in these kind of cases. All the best. Regards
