Oral promise by grandfather can I claim property on that basis

21-Jul-2023 (In Property Law)
We have a property in the name of my later grand father. My grand father had 1 son and 2 daughters. The son (my father) also passed away. The elder daughter is married while the younger is retired and staying in the house. While passing away my grand father had expressed his desire that the property be given to me but it was vocal and not written. There is no written will. In this situation who will be the owner of the property

Under a Will can be oral also and its not mandatory that it needs to be written. You may get the property if you proved in accordance with law oral will of your grand father otherwise property would be divided as per law of succession.

The legal heirs have the right on the property unless there is anything else in the form of any kind of will or transfer of property. You can get in touch with me for further information or help. This kind of cases are common now a days and you need to be strong enough with witness and documents to proceed with this in the court.
