Need to make a general power of attorney for NRI, please advise

18-Jan-2023 (In Property Law)
I am an Indian Citizen currently living in USA, I am trying to get properties transferred in my name from my father's name to in the state of Gujarat, so I am drafting a power of attorney, I have the format that the Indian Embassy will attest but I need to know the specifics of transferring the properties in my name while my father is alive, is it considered a gift or a regular sale, also, need specific details on how deep do I have to go regarding stating the powers as I am just going to go with a general POA. How long is too long for a POA and lastly a sample for the specific POA if possible. Thanks in advance.

Please do not make a power of attorney in your name fortransfer if you are going to be the beneficiary of said transfer, since you shall have to remain present in india.

Also the query requires a detailed discussion.

You don't need to make power of attorney, if agricultural property on your father name.
Just tell you father make a pedigree and entered your name in his agricultural property if you sole survival of your father and not then you have to made a gift or sale deed.
Then you need a power of attorney for specific purpose.
