To give opinion, it is necessary to know whether there is deviation on your part of the sanctioned Building Plan. You have specified that the Municipality through verbal Order has stopped your construction. It is necessary to know whether the complaint of that neighbour is in writing and whether such construction on your part is prejudicial for him or not. write to the municipality stating the 6 inches extension ask them to send engineer for survey if there is any extension rectify it show them the rectification and obtain a clearance certificate and start construction or else you may be prosecuted for 6 inches extension.
