If your mother and you are joint owners of the said property having 50% share each then if monetary consideration is not involved and it is due to natural love and affection that your mother wants to transfer her 50% undivided rights in your name, then Gift deed is the best option. Stamp duty and registration charges are nominal but you have to pay 1% metro surcharge and 1% LBT on the ready reckoner value of the said 50% undivided share of your mother for gift deed in KDMC.
