Misappropriation of ancestors gold from basement in ancestors property

My uncle fmily has digged out basement of our ancestors property & stolen all gold ornaments without our knowledge. This has came to my knowledge when I saw all debris in the basement. I don't know the exact year when it was digged as I visited the property after many years.My uncle who was ordinary man hasamassed property of Cr which I hv full doubt that he has stolen the gold from basement without our knowledge. How can I file case or investigate again him legally since I don't have any proof.
