Lost title deed to an apartment in Palghar district .(MH state)

Hello,
I live in Hyderabad and was gifted (by title deed) an apartment by my parents. The apartment is located in Virar,Palghar district, Maharshtra State. I've lost/misplaced the title deed while shifting to my new home.
Could you please advise on how to get a duplicate copy? Should I file an FIR with my local police and hen approach the registrar of Palghar district?

If you remember property description, Registration number and date of registration.you can directly get duplicate copy from Registrar.There is no need to file Complaint in Police station.you can make application in Registrar office.If iit is not possible to you.I will assist you.

1. Yes you will have to file a police complaint that the deeds are lost and not traceable by you;
2. Once that is done then you can apply to the registrar;
3. Take an affidavit stating that the property belongs to you;
4. Consult a local lawyer, with full facts and take steps.
