Legal Heir Rights & Claim on Property/Pension

10-Mar-2025 (In Property Law)
My grandmother was legally declared as the first wife of her husband through a court order. However, she is not receiving his railway pension, and a specific land (Gat No. 565) is not in her name. She has two daughters. Can she and her daughters claim rights over the pension and property? What legal steps should be taken?

In order to claim a right in the property of your grandmother it is imperative to apply for an heirship certificate and obtain the same. Also, check for nomination, if any, for pension. Feel free to contact me for seeking any legal advice as regards the same.
